>Delegates Of Soul - I'll Come Running Back

The superior version of this tireless classic. Always sounds so good where ever it is played.
>Shades Of Black - Mystery Of Black

Recently reissued on Jazzman Records, this deepfunk classic has now reached a larger audience than those that were lucky enough to be able to be able to experience a set by one of only a handfull of DJs who have an original copy.
>Broomfield Coorperation Jam - Doing It Our Way

One of the many late 70s deepfunk tracks that Soul Sam plays in the modern soul and main northern soul rooms. A punchy discoish production that lends itself well to more 'commercial crowds'.
>Harris and Orr - Spread Love

Featured on Deepfunk vol 2. This is the kind of funky modern soul sound that has become the staple diet for Keb's cult following at Madame Jo Jo's.
>Cookie Scott - I Don't Care

This was first exposed to us by Rob Messre who played it at the Prestatyn Soul Weekender in 2003. It has since been adopted by a small handfull of foward thinking "funk DJs" and has become somewhat of a classic.
>Crow - Autumn Of Your Tomorrow

A Dave Godin discovery that was lent to Ian Levine a couple of decades ago to be played at the Mecca. It might be "Northern Soul", but make no mistake, this is an out and out funk dancer of the highest order.
>Pure Funk - Nothing Left Is Real

One of Jason Stirland's favorites. Not quite modern soul, not quite funk, but perfect for connoisseurs of fine black American dance music.
>Innersoul - Take Your Time

One of the top three funk 45s of all time in terms of rarity and quality. Only equalled by Tickled Pink and Can We Rap.
