| >S.O.U.L
- Burning Spear |

This classic funk instrumental is a superior
cut to the well known album version that is used on all the
compilations and reissues. Why is it so rare? |
| >Barbara
Lynn - Mellow Feeling pt 1 |

A recent discovery? Barbara Lynn at her finest
in this late 70's crossover master piece. Very nice.
|
| >J.T.
Allen - Freeway Crowd |

A great double sider. "Freeway Crowd"
is a masterpiece of 70s 'chase music' stye funk, while the flip
"Working Hard" is a more down tempo, but equally danceable
modern soul gem. What price would this fetch if one of the big
modern soul DJs started playing it? |
| >Soul
Lovers - Gonna Have Fun Tonight |

First played by Snowboy as a cover up. One of
the first deepfunk classics, this has stood the test of time.
|
|
| >Johnny
Howard - Chase Is On |

A big spin for Butch at the 100 club. Perfect
100 mile an hour percusive northern soul for the funk scene.
Finding a copy may prove tricky... |
| >Parisians
- Twinkle Little Star |

This grinding northern soul stomper is another
big spin for Butch at the 100 club, that sounds perfect next
to late 60s deepfunk. The singer is said to have performed this
song with a cockroach glove puppet on one hand. Weird but true.
|
| >Soul
Saints - Working On The Line |

Recorded in Germany in the late 1990's, this
is the most unlikely candidate for 'best funk record ever made'.
A boss double sider that was given away at a christmas party
in the heart of Germany. Has been changing hands for anything
up to £400!!!!! |
| >Norma
and the Heart Aches - Nice And Slow |

One of the most popular records
we have played since we started doing the radio shows. QUALITY
crossover, and we feel very lucky to have a copy each. Very,
very rare. |
